Financial Services Assistant

The role of a financial services assistant involves assisting experienced accountants in the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and other accounting tasks.

  • Account Preparation: Assist in preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and companies.
  • Tax Returns: Compute tax returns such as self-assessment and UK Corporation Tax.
  • Bookkeeping and VAT Processing: Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and process VAT returns.
  • Payroll Processing: Assist in processing payroll and filling necessary documents.
  • Administration Duties: Perform ad-hoc administration duties as required.

Key skills required for this role include:

  • MS Excel Skills: Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is essential for this role.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to work effectively with colleagues and clients.

Qualifications required for this role include:

  • ACCA (Affiliate or Final Papers): Holding ACCA affiliate or final papers is desirable.
  • Other Accounting Qualifications: Other relevant accounting qualifications are also accepted.
