About the Job

We are seeking an experienced accountant to join our team as a Trainee / Semi Senior Accountant. As a key member of our financial management group, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records using various software, including Xero, QuickBooks, VT, Sage 50, and Excel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate financial records and perform data analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, in compliance with UK regulations (FRS-105 and FRS-102).
  • Compute corporation tax according to UK tax legislation and submit financial statements and corporation tax returns to the relevant authorities.
  • Update monthly payroll using Sage 50 payroll software and prepare VAT returns and individual's personal income tax returns in accordance with UK tax legislation.
Requirements
  • ACCA Affiliate or Part-Qualified status is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a similar role in a reputable organization is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Xero, Sage 50, QuickBooks, and Excel is essential.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills are required.
  • Ethical and professional behavior is expected.
