As a Civil Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of civil engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

Job Overview

This position involves supporting senior engineers in the development of project plans, coordination of project resources and implementation of project schedules to ensure timely completion.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Project Planning: Assist senior engineers in developing project plans, coordinating project resources and implementing project schedules to ensure timely completion.
  2. Design Development: Collaborate with senior engineers and stakeholders to refine project designs and specifications, ensuring design integrity and compliance with project requirements.
  3. Site Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections to monitor project progress, identify potential issues or deviations from plans and report findings to senior engineering staff for resolution.
  4. Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance measures to ensure that civil engineering projects meet design specifications, regulatory requirements and quality standards. Participate in quality control inspections and assessments to guarantee project excellence.
  5. Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, progress reports and technical documentation. Assist in preparing reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.
  6. Communication: Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including user departments, contractors and regulatory authorities, providing updates on project status, milestones and issues as directed by senior engineering staff.
  7. Issue Resolution: Assist in identifying and addressing project-related challenges and issues, working with senior engineers to analyze problems, develop solutions and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
  8. Safety Protocols: Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements at project sites, following established safety procedures and practices to promote a safe working environment for project personnel and stakeholders.
  9. Risk Management: Comply with the risk management framework, participate actively in risk management activities across the organization and ensure that key risks are identified, reported, recorded and managed in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Engineering degree from a recognized university
  • At least 2 years of experience in civil engineering
  • PEC registration is mandatory
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
