Job Description

The Global Procurement Specialist is responsible for sourcing and procuring vehicles globally, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery. This role involves supplier management, contract negotiation, inventory control, and risk mitigation to support the company's export and rental business.

This position requires collaboration with internal teams to align procurement strategies with business goals while maintaining compliance with international trade and vehicle safety regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Strategic Sourcing:
    • Develop and implement global sourcing strategies to meet the company's vehicle procurement needs.
    • Identify and qualify new suppliers globally, focusing on markets that offer the best value in terms of price, quality, and reliability.
    • Analyse market trends and conditions to understand supply opportunities and risks.
  • Supplier Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring the company's requirements are met consistently.
    • Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with suppliers, securing favorable terms for the company.
    • Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with quality standards, delivery timelines, and contractual obligations.
  • Procurement Operations:
    • Oversee the procurement process from vehicle selection to delivery, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
    • Work closely with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Operations, Logistics) to align procurement activities with business objectives.
    • Manage inventory levels to ensure an adequate supply of vehicles for export and rental businesses.
  • Financial Management:
    • Develop and manage the procurement budget, ensuring cost control and targeted savings.
    • Track and report on key procurement metrics, providing insights into cost savings, supplier performance, and market conditions.
  • Risk Management and Compliance:
    • Identify and mitigate risks in sourcing and procurement, including geopolitical risks, supply chain disruptions, and market volatility.
    • Ensure compliance with regulations related to international trade and vehicle safety.
    Required Skills and Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, procurement, business administration, logistics, or related field.
    • Master's degree preferred.
    • At least 3-5 years of procurement or supply chain experience, preferably in the automotive or vehicle industry.
    • Experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management, financial analysis, market research, and cross-functional collaboration.
    • Knowledge of international trade laws, vehicle safety standards, and procurement tools/software.
