Proposal Writing Expert

We seek an experienced and skilled proposal writer to contribute to our team. As a proposal writer, you will play a critical role in developing and submitting high-quality business proposals and bids in response to RFPs, leveraging your knowledge and expertise to drive success.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Research and analyze market trends, identifying new opportunities and potential clients.
  2. Design and develop compelling proposals that meet client needs and expectations, incorporating expert knowledge and best practices.
  3. Work collaboratively with proposal managers to create comprehensive proposal outlines and manage timelines, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  4. Write, edit, and compile proposal content, including executive summaries, resumes, and project descriptions, showcasing your creativity and technical skills.
  5. Evaluate and ensure compliance with RFP criteria, maintaining the highest standards of quality and attention to detail.
  6. Develop and maintain standardized templates and proposal-writing guidelines, promoting consistency and efficiency throughout the proposal process.
  7. Organize and update related proposal documentation, ensuring easy access and reference for stakeholders.
  8. Track and maintain a log of submitted bids and their outcomes, analyzing data to inform future improvements and optimize performance.
  9. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends, continuously refining and improving proposal processes, templates, and content libraries.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in English Language & Literature or a related field, with a strong foundation in writing, editing, and communication.
  2. At least 6 months to 1 year experience in business proposal writing or bidding, with a demonstrated ability to produce high-quality results.
  3. 2-5 years of experience with government proposals and/or technical proposals is highly beneficial, showcasing your expertise and adaptability.
  4. Prior experience bidding on freelance marketplaces like Upwork is highly desirable, highlighting your flexibility and competitive spirit.
  5. Exceptional written communication, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely, engaging audiences and convincing readers.
  6. Strong research abilities and understanding of RFP sourcing and evaluation, enabling effective identification of opportunities and development of tailored proposals that meet client needs.
  7. Familiarity with freelance marketplaces and bidding strategies, allowing for informed decision-making and competitive advantage in a fast-paced environment.
  8. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word), with expertise in creating professional-looking documents and spreadsheets, showcasing your technical skills and attention to detail.
  9. Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and work independently under pressure, prioritizing tasks and meeting targets efficiently, while maintaining a high level of quality and customer satisfaction.
  10. Analytical thinker with attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving attitude, driving continuous improvement and innovation throughout the proposal process.
  11. Strong organizational and time management skills, ensuring seamless execution of responsibilities and delivery of high-quality results, meeting client expectations and exceeding performance targets.
