Lead Sustainable Agricultural Projects

The role of a Project Manager in our organization is crucial in leading projects that aim to improve the livelihoods of smallholder farmers through sustainable agricultural practices.

This involves developing and implementing effective project plans, managing budgets, and ensuring timely completion of projects.

  • Project planning: Developing comprehensive project plans that align with our organizational goals and objectives.
  • Project implementation: Ensuring the successful implementation of project activities, including stakeholder engagement and community mobilization.
  • Monitoring and evaluation: Regularly monitoring and evaluating project progress, identifying areas for improvement, and making recommendations for future projects.

In addition to these responsibilities, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, including farmers, suppliers, and partners.

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Project Manager who can lead our team to achieve our goals and make a positive impact on the lives of smallholder farmers.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A Master's Degree is required, complemented by a minimum of eight years of progressive experience in a related field.
  • Deep expertise in sustainable agricultural practices, with a specific focus on the cotton value chain.
  • Demonstrated excellence in project cycle management, including planning, implementation, and monitoring & evaluation.
  • Extensive experience in stakeholder engagement and community mobilization, with a proven track record of working effectively with rural communities and various partners in the agriculture sector.
  • A strong understanding of the challenges within cotton cultivation and a commitment to promoting best practices for improved yields and livelihoods.
