Job Title: Credentialing Specialist

The Xenmd health facility is seeking a meticulous Credentialing Specialist to oversee administrative functions related to credentialing. This role involves maintaining and validating files, monitoring certification expiry across the organization, and collaborating with various departments to ensure staff members possess required accreditations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • ID Verification: Identify discrepancies in information and conduct follow-ups.
  • Credential Presentation: Present applications to the facility's Committee.
  • Customer Support: Assist customers with credentialing inquiries.
  • Healthcare Provider Support: Respond to health plan provider inquiries.
  • Data Management: Capture primary source documentation in computer databases.
  • Backup and Compliance: Ensure data is backed up and follows compliance laws, regulations, procedures, and policies.
Requirements:
  • Work Experience: Proven work experience as a Credentialing Specialist or similar role.
  • Credential Verification: Verifies and maintains the credentials of healthcare providers.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensures compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Care Provider Evaluation: Monitors and evaluates care providers' qualifications and ongoing training.
  • Qualification Review: Reviews qualifications of healthcare professionals to ensure they meet organizational standards.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Software Proficiency: Expertise with Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
  • Typing Skills: Proficient touch-typing skills.
  • Focus and Training: Ability to focus for extended periods and relevant training and/or certifications as a Credentialing Specialist.
