Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Material Control Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing program material requirements to ensure successful execution of production program objectives.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of related experience and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. They will be responsible for analyzing large amounts of data, reviewing and authorizing material procurements and inventory transfers, and ensuring the Material Management and Accounting System (MMAS) principles and processes are appropriately applied across the program.

This role involves coordinating with Engineering, Purchasing, Operations, and other departments to achieve material availability requirements to meet program integration schedules. The selected individual will also provide comprehensive what-if analysis and data modeling as required by program management and actively pursue, apply, and develop Program Material Control best practices to ensure the team operates with maximum efficiency.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Supporting program management through the analysis, oversight, and status of vehicle material and support equipment costs, delivery schedules, quality, and location tracking.
  • Coordinating with Procurement and Program Management to accurately provide revenue forecast and Estimate at Complete (EAC) analysis monthly.
  • Ensuring all Earned Value Management System (EVMS) requirements are appropriately met.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you should have:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in material control or related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and basic to intermediate skills in MS Word and MS PowerPoint.
