Research Positions in Botany

We are seeking highly motivated and skilled individuals for research positions in the field of botany. The successful candidates will be involved in various aspects of plant research, including gene expression, plant breeding, and biotechnology.

About the Project

The project aims to investigate the functional role of 3-ketoacyl-CoA synthase (KCS6) gene in cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.) for drought tolerance. This is a critical area of research, as drought is a major constraint to crop productivity worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct experiments to evaluate the impact of KCS6 gene on drought tolerance in cotton
  • Analyze data using statistical software packages
  • Collaborate with other researchers to design and implement experiments
Requirements
  • Enrolled M.S./MPhil students in botany, plant breeding & genetics, or plant biotechnology
  • Enrolled PhD students in botany, plant breeding & genetics, or plant biotechnology
Benefits

Successful candidates will receive a stipend and have the opportunity to work with an experienced team of researchers. The contract duration is 1 year, extendable to two more years.
