Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join our team on a permanent full-time basis. The successful candidate will report directly to the Manager, Finance. This role offers a challenging opportunity for professional growth and development within the finance department.

  • The Financial Analyst will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of accounting, including high-level analysis of revenue, credit, expenses, and overhead.
Main Responsibilities:
  • Accounting Management: Manage General Ledger in accordance with established accounting policies and perform regular balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Reconciliations: Reconcile AP and AR Subledgers to the General Ledger, as well as transaction values in different systems against bank transactions, coordinating with the Partnership team on discrepancies.
  • Error Resolution: Create monthly reconciliation error summary reports and coordinate with the Partnership team to correct errors.
  • Intercompany Differences: Identify intercompany differences and communicate findings to the local accounting team.
  • Quarterly Analysis: Perform quarterly reconciliations and analysis.
  • Account Reconciliations: Maintain accurate balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and implement process improvements and prepare documentation for newly implemented processes.
  • Sales Tax Returns: Prepare sales tax returns.
  • Financial Statements: Assist with Quarterly and Semiannually Note disclosures.
  • Revenue and Expenses: Review monthly revenue and expenses for accruals.
  • Journal Entries: Draft and record monthly recurring and adjusting journal entries.
  • Profit Forecasting: Assist in quarterly profit and loss forecasting.
  • Financial Reporting: Compile monthly financial statements, monthly accounting schedules, conducted financial analysis on monthly statements, and perform bank reconciliations.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with senior members of the company.
  • Continuous Improvement: Engage in a process of continuous improvement to use tools to automate as much of the financial reporting processes as possible.
  • Ad-hoc Tasks: Perform ad-hoc tasks, such as analysis of significant and/or unique transactions against accounting policies; building Excel templates to improve efficiencies over processes; etc.
