Job Overview

We are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to support our growing software engineering team. This role will lead the design of scalable cloud architecture using Infrastructure as Code and work with developers to create a highly scalable and reliable system on the cloud.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Terraform, good problem-solving skills, and good communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure of variety of services.
  • Optimize cloud cluster performance and resource utilization.
  • Troubleshoot production issues.
  • Ensure site reliability of the infrastructure and maintain disaster recovery plan.
  • Document DevOps process and apply practices for Infrastructure as Code.
  • Automate process for deploying new services.
Required Skills and Qualifications

This role requires strong technical skills and experience in the following areas:

  • Hands-on experience of setting up scalable architectures and systems, with caching, message queues, databases, microservices, etc.
  • In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes concepts like pods, services, deployments, and secrets.
  • Experience of containerize applications with Docker.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Powershell or Python or Bash.
  • 3+ years of experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and Terraform and other cloud technologies, like AWS.
  • Ability to setup monitoring, logging, and alerting for cloud clusters.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts and security best practices, and Kubernetes networking, and pod security policies.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like GitLab CI/CD or Jenkins.
