Truck Dispatch Coordinator Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Truck Dispatch Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 months of experience in dispatch coordination and possess excellent communication skills.

The role involves negotiating rates with brokers, assigning loads to carriers, monitoring the progress of units/trucks until delivery is completed, managing inbound and outbound calls, facilitating communication between carriers and brokers, and submitting invoices and maintaining meticulous records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate rates with brokers to secure loads.
  • Assign loads to carriers based on their availability and capacity.
  • Monitor the progress of units/trucks until delivery is completed.
  • Manage inbound and outbound calls, facilitating communication between carriers and brokers.
  • Submit invoices and maintain accurate records.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Prior experience in dispatch coordination is highly preferred.
