Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in financial record-keeping, analysis and preparation of financial statements.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using software such as Xero, QuickBooks, VT, Sage 50 and Excel.
  • Analyse financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare financial statements with required disclosures according to accounting standards.
  • Compute Corporation Tax in line with UK tax legislation.
  • Draft correspondence documents including letters.
  • Submit financial statements and corporation tax returns to relevant authorities.
  • Prepare VAT returns according to UK VAT legislation.
  • Prepare individual income tax returns according to UK tax legislation.
  • Update monthly payroll using Sage 50 payroll software.

Requirements:

  • ACCA Affiliate/Finalist qualification is essential.
  • Preference given to those with experience in UK-based firms.
  • Expertise in Xero, Sage 50, QuickBooks and Excel is advantageous.
  • Minimum 1.5 years' experience in a reputable organisation in a similar role is required.
  • Strong analytical, communication and computer skills are necessary.
  • Understanding of accounting and financial processes is crucial.
  • Ethical and professional behaviour is expected.
