Senior Financial Strategist

We are seeking a seasoned financial leader to serve as our Chief Financial Officer/Treasurer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, preferably with an MBA in Finance or membership in professional accounting bodies.
The selected individual will be responsible for managing the university's assets, liabilities, receipts, expenditures, funds, and investments. They will also prepare annual and revised budget estimates and present them to the Executive Committee for approval.
In addition to their technical skills, the successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders, including faculty, staff, students, and external partners.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Management: Manage the university's finances, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and policies.
- Financial Systems: Develop, implement, and maintain effective financial systems, processes, and controls.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to the Executive Committee and other stakeholders.
- Budgeting and Planning: Collaborate with department heads to develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Audit and Compliance: Ensure timely completion of audits and address any audit findings.
