System administrators play a vital role in maintaining the integrity and availability of storage area networks (SANs). The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience in system administration, SAN, and backup administration and management support.

Job Overview

This is a mid-senior level position that requires excellent leadership skills to oversee Storage Area Network (SAN) backup infrastructure within an organization. The successful candidate will lead a team of skilled professionals to ensure the security, integrity, and availability of the organization's database.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, deploy, and maintain enterprise SAN Backup Architecture, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and security.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend enhancements to backup processes, procedures, and architecture.
  • Conduct regular assessments of SAN infrastructure to identify areas of improvement and implement necessary changes.
  • Develop and enforce backup policies and procedures to ensure data consistency, regulatory compliance, and security standards.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to develop and maintain disaster recovery plans.
  • Plan and conduct periodic drills and tests to validate disaster recovery effectiveness.

Incident management activities for backup and archiving infrastructure are also essential responsibilities of this role.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Telecom/Software/Computer Engineering or related field.
  • At least 4 years of experience in system administration, SAN, and backup administration and management support.
  • PEC registration is mandatory.
  • Skill in design, build, deploy, and maintenance of enterprise SAN Backup Architecture.
  • Experience in evaluating emerging technologies and recommending enhancements.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
