Job Overview

The Business Development Associate will play a key role in driving growth and expansion of partnership initiatives.

This involves proactively engaging with external stakeholders, cultivating strategic relationships, and contributing to the organization's mission of promoting excellence in education and advancing innovative teaching and learning practices.

In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for identifying and generating leads through various channels including online research, networking events, and industry connections.

Develop customized pitches tailored to the specific needs and interests of prospective partners and collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery and implementation of LUMSx offerings.

  • Lead Generation: Proactively identify and generate new business opportunities through outreach and engagement with potential partners.
  • Business Development: Develop and maintain strong relationships with partners, vendors, and other stakeholders to drive revenue growth and partnerships.
  • Proposal Development: Collaborate with the Partnerships Lead to create compelling proposals and presentations that showcase our value proposition and meet the needs of our clients.
  • Execution Support: Assist in the execution of customized courses and programs for partner organizations and coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of partner organizations, contacts, and interactions.
  • Market Research: Conduct research on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging educational technologies to inform partnership strategies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of business development concepts and strategies, including lead generation, pipeline management, and relationship building.
  • Familiarity with the education sector, including K-12, higher education, professional development, and lifelong learning.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
