Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the role of Livestock Implementation Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and supporting livestock-related interventions in Balochistan, ensuring effective implementation of activities such as equipment distribution and capacity building in line with FAO standards.

The position has a strong technical focus on rural development programmes, requiring excellent analytical and writing skills. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Agriculture or Livestock Sciences and at least one year of experience in project implementation in livestock/agriculture/rural development programmes.

The selected candidate will work closely with programme, operations, MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning), communication, administration, finance, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure coherent and timely project implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure effective monitoring of the workplan to guarantee timely delivery of all expected outputs and deliverables.
  • Proactively identify and escalate risks, delays, or operational challenges, and support development of mitigation measures in coordination with relevant units.
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing, lessons learned documentation, and capitalization of good practices to inform future interventions.
  • Facilitate coordination and communication among programme, operations, MEAL, communication, administration, finance, procurement, and logistics teams.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or Livestock Sciences.
  • At least one year of experience in project implementation in livestock/agriculture/rural development programmes.
  • Excellent analytical and writing skills.
  • Strong understanding of FAO's procurement and operational processes.
  • Ability to take initiative, manage multiple priorities, and follow through until completion.
