Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Assistance Specialist (STTA) to support the delivery of training modules on case definitions, surveillance standards, and reporting protocols for frontline health workers in Punjab, Pakistan.

The selected candidate will work closely with the Health and Population Department (H&PD) to develop and deliver a cadre of master trainers capable of institutionalising and cascading smog-related health crisis response training across the province.

  • The STTA will be responsible for delivering IDSR training modules on AURI, ILI, ALRI, SARI, surveillance standards, and reporting protocols.

  • They will also work with provincial and district-level stakeholders to enhance training content, equip a pool of master trainers, and embed tools and systems for sustainable cascade delivery.

  • The STTA will contribute to strengthening Punjab's capacity to manage smog-related health crises by equipping district-level master trainers with both technical expertise and facilitation skills.

Key qualifications include a postgraduate degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or Environmental Health, along with at least 8-10 years of relevant experience in disease surveillance, IDSR protocols, and case definitions.

Candidates should have expertise in training frontline health workers and ensuring compliance with national reporting standards.

The role requires strong planning and delivery skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with others, analyze information, and make decisions.

The STTA will be based in Lahore, Pakistan, and will work on a part-time basis for approximately 45 days.

The expected period of engagement is from September to November 2025.

Deliverables/KPIs will include:

  • Inception Report & Training Design Slide Deck
  • Trainer Toolkit (manuals, SOPs, IEC materials, digital content)
  • ToT Delivery Report (trainer assessments)
  • Final ToT Report (with slide deck) & Cascade Plan
