Job Title

Manager of Laboratory Operations

  • Responsibilities:
  • Implement and manage laboratory management systems in accordance with ISO 17025:2017 standards.
  • Lead a team to achieve objectives related to safety, environment, quality, cost, and service.
  • Develop and maintain competences and quality awareness among plant personnel.
  • Setup, manage, enforce, and maintain Nestlé Quality Management System at plant level.
  • Ensure the correct functioning and technical operations of the laboratory, including personnel safety, equipment availability, and technician training.
  • Oversee compliance with laboratory safety and security standards set by accrediting and regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure adherence to good hygienic practices at plant and supervise the implementation of the plant pest management program.
  • Manage the internal auditing program, assessing the performance of the quality system, reporting its effectiveness to management, and proposing actions for improvement.
  • Participate in supplier auditing schemes when required.
  • Monitor key quality parameters using statistical process control to drive structured root cause analysis and continuous improvement in pursuit of zero defect.
  • Maintain full compliance with products.
  • Promote quality awareness at plant. Assist in quality training for plant personnel and contractors.
  • Abide by WHO and local code in job execution, prohibiting direct contact with pregnant women and mothers of infants and young children.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science or Chemistry.
  • 5-10 years of experience demonstrating capability to lead diverse groups.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate with corporate teams (Brand, CQA, Procurement, Consumer Services).
  • Proven track record of delivering results through cross-functional team work.
