**Job Title:** Food Safety Officer

About This Role:

This is a dynamic position that involves ensuring all food prepared and served by the organization meets high standards of quality, safety, and hygiene. The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify potential risks and implement corrective actions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and ISO standards for food production, catering, and services.
  • Process requisitions and follow up on them accordingly.
  • Maintain an up-to-date food safety program and ensure all staff are trained and aware of their roles and responsibilities.
  • Conduct regular checks on business operations for any breaches of food safety protocols.
  • Coordinate and assist with technical training and competency development for management and employees on food safety programs, pest control, environmental practices, and operational methods.
  • Audit food suppliers against Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point systems, identify corrective actions required, and escalate major concerns as necessary.
  • Ensure all food prepared is clean and safe, and premises storing, preparing, producing, cooking, or serving food comply with hygiene standards.
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proven experience in a related field, preferably with a recognized certification.
