Strategic Sourcing Leader

We are seeking a strategic sourcing leader to join our team. As a key member of our procurement organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing best-in-class purchasing strategies that align with our business objectives.

Purchasing Strategy and Management
  • Create and implement a comprehensive purchasing vision that drives business performance and adds value to the organization.
  • Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships and manage contract negotiations to ensure optimal terms and delivery.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the development and implementation of eProcurement processes and policies.
Supplier Relationships and Contract Management
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to improve supplier performance and reduce costs.
  • Negotiate contract terms with key suppliers to ensure quality standards, delivery terms, and value for money.
  • Collaborate with research and development teams to source new and alternative raw materials.
Leadership and Team Development
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and training to team members to ensure they have the skills and expertise needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Develop and implement operational metrics to measure team performance and success.

The ideal candidate will have over 8-10 years of relevant experience in technical and non-technical procurement, educated to degree level (preferably masters) in a commercial or engineering discipline. They should be able to drive business improvement, add value, and reduce costs.

This role requires strong communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. The successful candidate will be required to ensure strong relationships between teams and stakeholders under leadership to facilitate exchange of information and implement change and improvements.
