We are seeking a skilled Library Manager to oversee our educational institution's library operations in Karachi, Pakistan.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the library's daily activities, providing students with access to educational resources, and supporting curriculum-based learning through the use of library resources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain an organized and efficient library system
  • Select, acquire, catalog, and classify books and other materials
  • Assist students in finding resources for their research projects
  • Plan and implement library programs and activities to promote literacy and reading culture among students
  • Collaborate with teachers to support curriculum-based learning through the use of library resources
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and maintain accurate records of all library materials
  • Train students on how to use the library effectively
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years experience working as a Librarian in an educational setting
  • Knowledge of library management systems
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with others
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with the Pakistani education system
  • Strong knowledge of different genres of literature suitable for children at various age levels
