Job Description:

  1. Transaction Processing:
  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, including invoices, payments, receipts, and expense reports.
Financial Compliance:
  • Verify the accuracy of financial documents and ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
Payroll Activities:
  • Assist in payroll processing activities, including calculating salaries, deductions, and taxes, and preparing payroll reports for review and approval.
Disbursement Coordination:
  • Ensure timely and accurate disbursement of salaries, benefits, and reimbursements to faculty, staff, and other employees.
Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, reports, and analysis to support decision-making and financial planning processes.
Financial Analysis:
  • Conduct financial analysis, variance analysis, and cost-benefit analysis to evaluate financial performance, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions as needed.
Vendor Relationships:
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to process invoices, resolve payment discrepancies, and maintain positive relationships.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  1. Accounting Background: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  2. Relevant Experience: Previous experience in accounting, finance, or a similar role, preferably in the education sector.
  3. Accounting Knowledge: Knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and best practices.
  4. Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software, MS Excel, and other financial management tools.
  5. Soft Skills: Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
