Healthcare Professional Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Doctor to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, including conducting thorough triage, taking detailed medical histories, performing physical examinations, and ordering essential laboratory and radiology investigations.


Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive clinical care to patients based on their medical history, appropriate physical examination, available laboratory results, and prescribed treatments for acute and chronic conditions.
  • Conduct daily rounds on patients, initiate case discussions, monitor and document patient progress, and ensure seamless handovers when responsibilities are transferred.
  • Advise on further testing and referral processes as needed.
  • Lead regular case discussions as part of hands-on training sessions.
  • Identify gaps in staff training and provide didactic and/or hands-on training as necessary.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop training programs and advocate for additional training needs within the team.
  • Utilize data collection tools and provide training to other staff members as required.
  • Analyze medical service data to evaluate the quality of care provided to patients and services.
  • Maintain strict adherence to Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) protocols and standards.
  • Participate in 24-hour health service delivery systems at clinics, facilities, or hospitals according to shift schedules.
  • Adhere to international guidelines for patient assessment, diagnosis, and medication prescription.
  • Supervise and manage clinical staff as directed by supervisors, participating in hiring processes as needed.
  • Deliver health education to patients and community members regarding diagnoses, healthy diets, physical activity, hygiene promotion, and disease prevention.
  • Comply with administrative directives regarding work schedules, record-keeping, patient communication, restocking medical supplies, and maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Report any Code of Conduct violations immediately.
  • Perform outreach health services as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications:
  • Typically, a medical degree with a valid license to practice and board certification or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of relevant clinical experience, preferably in low-resource settings.
  • Experience in primary health care, maternal and child health, reproductive health, communicable and non-communicable diseases, and emergency response is desirable.
  • Previous experience working with NGOs is an asset.
  • Excellent ability to multitask in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated individual with sound judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in stressful situations.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse personalities and cultures.
