Technical Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Technical Support Specialist to join our team.

  • The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background and excellent communication skills, with at least 2-3 years of related professional experience.
About the Role

This role is responsible for providing technical support and assistance to internal networks and employees.

The responsibilities include:

  1. Providing timely and efficient responses to employee inquiries.
  2. Identifying and resolving routine operational systems problems.
  3. Installing and operating LAN, WAN, and dial access services for operations.
  4. Managing projects, planning, and implementing systems maintenance and administration.
  5. Troubleshooting networks and systems to ensure optimal performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The following skills are required for this position:

  • Software house experience with a proven track record of success.
  • Excellent English written and verbal skills, including phone etiquette.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) certification and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification is desirable.
  • A solid understanding of web technologies, networking concepts, and software products.
  • The ability to take ownership of technical issues and work collaboratively with Development teams to resolve more complex issues.
  • Resolving escalated user complaints without requiring intervention from a team lead.
  • Documenting troubleshooting and problem resolution steps to maintain a knowledge base.
  • Participating in educating network customers as required to ensure they are aware of best practices.
  • A comprehensive knowledge of Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7, Linux, and general desktop support issues.
  • An understanding of DNS, TCP/IP, Domain Environment, Firewalls, and other networking concepts.
  • Solid knowledge of internet protocols such as SSH, FTP, SFTP, and HTTP.
  • The ability to use diagnostic tools such as trace route, ping, and dig to troubleshoot network issues.
