Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our dynamic team in the telecommunications industry. This role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our receivables processes, specifically within the context of project accounting.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of financial reporting, as well as industry regulations and standards.

In this position, you will oversee the management of accounts receivable, ensure that financial statements reflect accurate project-related transactions, and collaborate with project managers and other departments to align accounting practices with company goals.

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL DEMONSTRATE A PROVEN TRACK RECORD IN MANAGING RECEIVABLES, AS WELL AS EXPERTISE IN PROJECT ACCOUNTING.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the management of accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in billing and collections.
  • Collaborate with project managers to monitor and report on project financials, identifying potential discrepancies and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare and present project accounting reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for financial decision-making.
  • Lead and mentor a team of accounts receivable professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure adherence to industry regulations and internal policies related to receivables and project accounting practices.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the efficiency of the receivables processes, reducing DSO and improving cash flow.
  • Analyze project financial data to ensure proper revenue recognition and compliance with accounting standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications

This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; ACCA or CMA certification is required.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts receivable management, with a focus on project accounting in the telecommunications sector is also necessary.

The ideal candidate will have proven ability to manage complex financial data related to project accounting and reporting.

Strong knowledge of industry regulations, accounting principles, and financial reporting standards is also required.

Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in managing and developing a high-performing team is essential.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy are also needed.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels is also necessary.
