The Outreach and Research Programme of the Department of Paediatrics has ten community-based field sites across Pakistan, focusing on research for betterment of women and child health.

This is a grant-funded position.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible to:

  1. Conduct interviews, write up detailed notes and observe visits
  2. Manage field work to ensure effective use of time
  3. Facilitate meetings among the research team and junior staff
  4. Train new junior staff in research/interviewing skills and proper data collection
  5. Visit different households in the communities to ensure successful completion of the data collection
  6. Liaison with administration regarding logistics for field work
  7. Develop and conduct regular trainings of junior staff
  8. Provide supervision and support for junior staff
  9. Raise wider community awareness of Child Health related issues
  10. Follow and ensure field implementation of project related SOPs/guidelines
Required Skills and Qualifications

You should have:

  1. Graduation or Master's Degree
  2. One to two years of relevant experience
  3. Sensitivity to culture differences
  4. Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively
  5. Excellent team player
  6. Good communication and interpersonal skills
  7. Resilience and ability to cope with work pressure
  8. Will to work in the communities
