Procurement Strategy Lead

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Strategy Lead to devise and execute effective sourcing plans that meet business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategic partnerships with suppliers to identify and engage profitable business opportunities.
  • Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with external vendors.
  • Approve the procurement of goods and services, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Finalize order details and deliveries, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution.
  • Regularly review and evaluate existing contracts to identify areas for improvement and cost savings opportunities.
  • Monitor and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure clarity on specifications and expectations.
  • Stay ahead of market trends and competitor activity to anticipate potential risks and opportunities.
  • Develop risk management strategies to mitigate supply chain vulnerabilities.
  • Lead efforts to control spend and foster a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a procurement manager with a strong track record of success.
  • In-depth knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques, including market analysis and trend forecasting.
  • Excellent negotiation and networking skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with supplier or third-party management software, with the ability to leverage technology to drive process improvements.
  • Aptitude for data-driven decision-making, with a strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
