Job Description

The role of Store Operations Manager involves overseeing the daily retail operations of a company.

A key aspect of this position is managing and controlling all store aspects to promote cost-effectiveness and profitability.

This includes hiring, directing, coaching, supporting, and delegating tasks to the sales team while monitoring their performance to achieve store targets.

Motivating the team, developing their potential, and creating succession plans for the store are also crucial responsibilities.

Furthermore, identifying training needs for store staff and delivering relevant training with support from operation and HR is essential.

The role requires effective communication with the team, passing on relevant information at the right time.

Developing and managing compensation plans for the sales team and creating annual and quarterly strategies for the store to meet sales targets are critical components of this job.

Ensuring stores are merchandised commercially and visually to company standards and maximizing profit is a significant responsibility.

Additionally, accurate and timely reconciliation of cash, floats, and petty cash, as well as analyzing stock management information to maximize sales opportunities through effective stock management practices, are vital tasks.

The Store Operations Manager must also maintain stock levels in-store by monitoring stock and liaising with the store planner for optimal replenishment.

The role entails managing day-to-day retail operations, coordinating closely with dealers to maximize dealership sales, and ensuring utmost customer service.

Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, selling, and team-building skills are required for success in this position.

Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Possess passion for brand retailing.
  • Hold a graduate degree with tertiary qualifications in Sales & Marketing.
  • Have relevant experience in an equivalent position of at least three years.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal skills, selling, and team-building skills.
  • Be able to provide two verifiable references.
  • Show a good command over MS Office applications.
