Senior Assistant, Manager's Office Laboratory

Candidates are sought for a Senior Assistant position in the Manager's Office Laboratory. The successful candidate will provide administrative and clerical support to ensure the smooth functioning of laboratory operations.

  • The role involves managing and maintaining the director's calendar, scheduling meetings and events with accuracy and efficient time management.
  • Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for coordinating with HR and other departments for scheduling interviews, raising material stock and personal requisition requests as per departmental needs.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality are essential requirements for this position.

The ideal candidate should have a graduate degree from a recognized university and minimum 2 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in using Microsoft applications is also required.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain the director's calendar, schedule meetings and events while ensuring accuracy and efficient time management

• Provide administrative and clerical support to ensure the smooth functioning of Lab functions

• Raise material stock and personal requisition request as per departmental needs

• Coordinate with HR and other departments for scheduling interviews

• Take care of business communication including emails, presentations, drafting memos, business letters and questionnaires

• Maintain and file confidential information in personnel files of direct reports of director Lab

• Provide support in organizing meetings, workshops, and conferences for the department

• Ensure effective logistical arrangements for department meetings and prepare minutes of meetings

• Liaise with the concerned for travel arrangements, purchases, release of payments and other reimbursement matters

• Update necessary records related to international accreditation agencies i.e. CAP, JCIA
