Database Architect and API Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to assume responsibility for database architecture & design, along with expertise in RESTful APIs. This role requires expertise in MySQL databases & RESTful APIs, maintenance, testing, and integration. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity of our database systems and creating efficient APIs that power our applications.

Responsibilities:
  1. Design, implement, and maintain MySQL databases that underpin our applications.
  2. Optimize database performance by addressing bottlenecks and ensuring data availability.
  3. Perform regular backups, restores, and disaster recovery operations.
  4. Testing and ensure successful database operations.
  5. Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues and incidents promptly.
  6. Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging trends in MySQL database management.
  7. Implement and maintain RESTful APIs that power our applications and services.
  8. Optimize APIs for performance, scalability, and security.
  9. Integrate third-party APIs and services to enhance application functionality.
  10. Troubleshoot and resolve API-related issues in a timely manner.
  11. Stay current with industry advancements and best practices in API development.
Minimum Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  2. 2+ years of experience with RESTful APIs and MySQL database development and operations.
  3. Experience with programming languages such as Java and C++.
  4. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  5. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
