Data Platform Architect

**Data Engineering and Governance Role**

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our data platform, you will be responsible for designing and implementing components of the consent management framework.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on privacy compliance reporting and data retention management features, contributing to the data certification framework with configurable data quality validation rules.

You will also help develop data lineage tracking capabilities with column-level granularity for sensitive data, build and maintain APIs for integrating data quality, privacy, and governance tools.

Additionally, you will implement data classification and privacy-preserving transformation pipelines, working cross-functionally with data engineering, analytics, and business teams.

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in software engineering and data platforms, proficient in at least one programming language such as Python, Go, Java or Scala.

Experience working with microservices and data processing frameworks (Apache Spark, Airflow, etc.) is essential, along with familiarity with cloud platforms and their data services, preferably AWS.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement components of the consent management framework
• Build privacy compliance reporting and data retention management features
• Contribute to the data certification framework with configurable data quality validation rules
• Help develop data lineage tracking capabilities with column-level granularity for sensitive data
• Build and maintain APIs for integrating data quality, privacy, and governance tools
• Implement data classification and privacy-preserving transformation pipelines
• Work cross-functionally with data engineering, analytics, and business teams
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers on data best practices

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of software engineering experience with 2+ years focused on data platforms
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Go, Java or Scala
• Experience working with microservices and data processing frameworks (Apache Spark, Airflow, etc.)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and their data services, preferably AWS
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform) and containerization (Docker)
• Understanding of data modeling and database design principles
• Knowledge of data governance concepts and basic understanding of regulatory requirements (GDPR, CCPA)
