The Role

This role is ideal for a full-stack expert with a DevOps mindset who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can wear multiple hats to get the job done. As a technical leader, you will lead significant technology modernization efforts, migrating from legacy systems to a more scalable and maintainable architecture.

Key responsibilities include leading the design, development, and deployment of new features and systems across our platform, driving ongoing technology modernization, and taking ownership of our unified web application built on Next.js with Payload CMS.

You will also architect and implement scalable backend services using serverless technologies (AWS Lambda) and modern APIs, lead the migration from a legacy multi-application architecture to a unified, modern platform, and develop and maintain data processing pipelines using AWS S3, Athena, and Glue for healthcare analytics.

Additionally, you will enhance and maintain CI/CD and deployment pipelines to Vercel for frontend applications, manage and optimize AWS infrastructure, including Lambda functions, API Gateway, CloudFront, and S3, and ensure platform reliability, performance monitoring, and scalability across our distributed architecture.

As a mentor and guide, you will foster a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and collaboration, and collaborate closely with product, design, and stakeholders to translate complex healthcare business requirements into robust technical solutions.

A successful candidate will have 6+ years of software development experience, with a proven track record in a senior or lead engineering role, deep expertise in modern frontend frameworks, specifically Next.js, strong backend experience with Node.js and serverless architectures, and solid cloud platform experience, preferably AWS.

Required skills include experience with content management systems, database experience with PostgreSQL, knowledge of data analytics pipelines, and understanding of healthcare integrations and API design.
