Civil Construction Project Leader

Job Summary: Leading civil construction projects is a key role within our organization. This position requires strong leadership skills and experience in building construction, excavation & grading, and structural concrete.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to estimate material and labor costs, read blueprints and diagrams, and requisition materials as needed. Strong math aptitude and initiative are also essential for this role.

In addition to these technical skills, the ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, be able to maintain confidentiality of information, and demonstrate a high level of self-direction. Experience working in an office environment is also preferred.

Responsibilities:
  • Estimate material and labor necessary for jobs.
  • Reads and interprets blueprints and diagrams; follows oral instructions as needed.
  • Requisitions materials as needed.
  • Performs concrete placement, including flatwork, footings and walls.
  • Leads other civil construction work such as site preparation, building and restoration.
  • Leads and oversees helpers and laborers.
  • Perform general cleanup at job sites. Assist in various laborer duties as assigned to ensure success of job.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED and a minimum of five (5) years of related experience.
