Travel Fare Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Travel Fare Specialist to lead our team in delivering exceptional travel solutions.

The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in ticketing and fare construction within the travel industry, with proficiency in Sabre, Bargain Finder, and other relevant software applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create new flight bookings on Sabre and other booking systems, including airline portals like NDC and consolidators.
  • Identify cost-effective airfares using geographical knowledge and leverage tools such as Bargain Finder for optimal results.
  • Execute manual reissues and manage refund procedures with precision, ensuring compliance with airline policies and industry standards.
  • Assist customers via online chat, providing timely and accurate support.
  • Proactively manage queues, liaise with airlines, and coordinate schedule changes to optimize travel arrangements for clients.
  • Navigate between different Passenger Name Record (PNR) Control Centers (PCCs) seamlessly to accommodate varied client needs and preferences.
  • Add ancillary services to bookings, such as extra baggage, meal and seat requests, insurance, and manage procedures for airline name corrections and adding infants to bookings.

Requirements:

  • Extensive hands-on experience in ticketing and fare construction within the travel industry.
  • Proficiency in Sabre, Bargain Finder, and other relevant software applications.
  • Strong understanding of airline operations, geographical nuances, and industry best practices.
  • Exceptional communication skills for efficient customer support via online chat, email, and phone.
  • Previous experience working with online travel agencies and diverse airline portals is preferred.

This role is remote-based, with a designated home office setup. The successful candidate must be flexible and willing to work shifting schedules, weekends, night shifts, overtime, and holidays.
