Credentialing Specialist

Processing insurance applications and maintaining provider profiles are key responsibilities of a Credentialing Specialist. This role involves:

  • Negotiating contracts with insurance providers
  • Maintaining accurate provider profiles on various platforms, including NPI registration and updates
  • Coordinating state license registrations and renewals
  • Collaborating closely with provider office managers and IPAs to ensure seamless credentialing processes

This position also entails creating and evaluating payer fee schedules, sending reminders to providers for upcoming expirations and renewals, and assisting with commercial and government insurance enrollments.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Flexibility to work night shifts (7PM to 4AM)
