Job Description

A Business Intelligence Engineer designs, develops and maintains data systems to analyze business performance. This includes creating databases, dashboards and other platforms to collect and evaluate business intelligence data.

This role involves working closely with marketing staff and other stakeholders to gain an understanding of business goals and objectives. The engineer must be comfortable designing and implementing data collection and analysis systems.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in computer science or a related field, experience with SQL, Python and other relevant technologies, and strong problem-solving skills.

  • Create data warehousing and BI solutions that support business decision-making.
  • Develop dashboards and KPIs to show business performance to management.
  • Maintain data models used for reporting and analytics.
  • Help the broader team identify new features and business opportunities through analysis.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed as a Business Intelligence Engineer, you should have:

  • Bachelor's or graduate's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or information systems.
  • Experience with Agile, Python, RedShift, Cloud, TSQL and R language software and systems.
  • Fluent in statistics, datasets and scripting.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Familiarity with version control and relational databases.
