The role of a Senior Pharmacy Coordinator involves overseeing the delivery of pharmacy services in a tertiary care hospital setting. This includes implementing and adhering to policies and procedures, as well as providing frontline team management and coaching to all pharmacy staff.

As a key member of the pharmacy team, you will be responsible for precepting and coordinating the training of pharmacy students, serving as a role model to trainee pharmacists. Additionally, you will maintain basic job needs such as interpretation of physician orders, intervention, compounding, dispensing, patient education, controlled drugs management and handling, and inventory management of pharmaceutical supplies.

To succeed in this role, you should have a Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy/Pharm D, Master's degree in Pharmacy or Professional Registration in UK or USA preferred. A minimum of four to six years of experience in tertiary care hospital pharmacy, with two years at supervisory level is also required.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate supervisory skills and ability to work with people of various backgrounds and training. You may be assigned to work in any area of the hospital pharmacy as and when required, and must have a working knowledge of hospital pharmacy services and knowledge of various drug distribution systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage pharmacy services, including implementation of policies and procedures
  • Provide frontline team management and coaching to pharmacy staff
  • Precept and coordinate training of pharmacy students
  • Maintain basic job needs, including interpretation of physician orders and inventory management
  • Ensure effective communication with healthcare providers and convey information on safe medication usage
Requirements:
  • Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy/Pharm D, Master's degree in Pharmacy or Professional Registration in UK or USA preferred
  • Minimum four to six years of experience in tertiary care hospital pharmacy, with two years at supervisory level
