At the forefront of innovative infrastructure management, we seek a skilled Senior Platform Engineer to join our team.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring seamless 24/7 platform operations, including on-call support and incident response.

  • This encompasses managing multi-cloud infrastructure through declarative, automated workflows, as well as collaborating with the Delivery Platform team to enhance DevEx with intelligent internal tooling.

A key aspect of this role is driving reliability, observability, and cost-efficiency across our global infrastructure. Additionally, the successful candidate will enable engineers with self-service, secure, and scalable delivery pipelines.

Technical Expertise

To excel in this position, you must possess exceptional technical expertise in AI-driven platform development, scaling, recovery, and diagnostics. Experience with cloud-native platforms, serverless architecture, and control-plane patterns is essential. You should also be proficient in autonomous AI agents and have a deep understanding of event-driven logic.

  • Familiarity with multi-cloud infrastructure and its corresponding automation tools is a significant advantage.

Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • E nsuring 24/7 platform operations, including on-call support and incident response.
  • B uilding and evolving AI agents that automate scaling, recovery, and diagnostics through control-plane patterns and event-driven logic.
  • M anaging multi-cloud infrastructure, including serverless, through declarative, automated workflows.
  • C ollaborating with the Delivery Platform team to improve DevEx with intelligent internal tooling.
  • D riving reliability, observability, and cost-efficiency across Gelato's global infrastructure.
