Synopsis

The role of Senior System Engineer entails designing, implementing, and managing complex IT systems and infrastructure.

This includes overseeing Windows Server, Microsoft 365 applications, and Azure environments, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.

  • Server Administration: Manage and configure on-prem, hybrid, and Azure servers, including DHCP, DNS, IIS, FTP, and SFTP services.
  • O365 Management: Oversee user administration, ensure data backups, and implement security operations for Microsoft 365 applications.
  • System Security: Identify vulnerabilities, resolve system and server issues, and enforce patch management to guarantee system integrity.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical assistance and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems.
  • Microsoft Administration: Offer engineering support for assigned areas, including M365 Services, On-Prem Active Directory, Domain Controller, Hybrid, Exchange Online, Entra, SharePoint Online, MS Teams, Power Platform, etc.
  • Migrate email from Exchange on-premises/hosted to Exchange online within O365 through various migration methods.
  • Possess practical knowledge of Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), Azure Active Directory (AAD), AAD Connect, Azure AD Sync, or Azure, and Office 365 services.
  • Implement and support Microsoft cloud technologies and services such as MS Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint online, One Drive, Intune, MAM / MDM, Autopilot, Windows Virtual Desktop, etc.
  • Configure Conditional Access/Tenant policies, M365 mobile device management, and Intune.
  • Communicate complex technical information clearly to all levels and audiences.
  • Manage the Microsoft Azure cloud environment, including provisioning, configuration, performance monitoring, policy governance, and security.
Requirements

A suitable candidate should possess:

  • 5-7 years of experience in Microsoft 365, On-prem, hybrid architecture, design, and implementation.
  • At least 3 years of experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft products and services, including Azure, Active Directory, Domain Controller, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Power Platform, etc.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience utilizing Azure services, including designing and implementing cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure services.
  • Experience with Data backups & virtualization solutions.
