Import Manager Job Description

The primary responsibility of the Import Manager will be to oversee the entire import process, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods into our operations. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of the import process, including logistics, customs clearance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate with international vendors to ensure seamless shipment processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of import-related data and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize import processes and improve overall efficiency.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and retention.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in import and logistics, preferably with knowledge of customs clearance procedures and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop effective solutions.
  • Experience working with international vendors and suppliers is a plus.
