Job Title: Import & Logistics Associate

Role Overview:

We are looking for a motivated Import & Logistics Associate to support import operations, customs clearance, logistics coordination, and LC handling. The role requires a commerce background, strong communication, attention to detail, and negotiation skills to ensure smooth import processes and cost-effective logistics solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the import process from order placement to final delivery.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and transporters for timely shipments.
  • Prepare and verify import documentation.
  • Assist in customs clearance procedures and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Track shipments, resolve issues, and update stakeholders regularly.
  • Maintain relations with banks for import payments and assist in handling Letters of Credit (LCs).
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers, agents, and customs authorities.
  • Negotiate freight and logistics costs to support cost efficiency.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail in documentation and shipment records.
  • Show good communication and negotiation skills to build professional relationships.
  • Prepare basic reports on imports, shipments, and costs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 1 – 1.5 years of experience in import/logistics/supply chain (fresh graduates with relevant internships may also apply).
  • Basic knowledge of customs regulations, shipment modes, and LC handling.
  • Strong attention to detail, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; ERP knowledge is a plus.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
