Capital Expenditure Manager

The purpose of this role is to oversee the preparation of the annual capital budget in accordance with established rules and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage, and set up all capital projects within the Oracle General Ledger module.
  • Collaborate with respective user departments/budget owners across the organization to monitor and assist in recording any revisions in expenditures throughout the year.
  • Ensure compliance with capital expenditure policies, and propose improvements regarding expense guidelines, cost savings, cost allocation, and annual planning.
  • Review data related to capital expenditure transactions to determine appropriate procedures for budgeting and accounting.
  • Compare actual results to budgeted results at each reporting period and report significant variances.
  • Maintain liaison with departments to ensure financial continuity, accuracy, and adherence to key processes for capital and operational costs, revenue budgeting, accounting, reporting, and compliance.
  • Review proposed budget submissions from department managers for accuracy and completeness, and clarify or adjust as needed.
