Job Title: Deputy Manager Quality Control

Ensuring Product Excellence: To guarantee product quality at all stages, our Deputy Manager Quality Control will implement rigorous standards, supervise inspections, and drive corrective actions to meet our quality benchmarks and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Quality Assurance and Implementation: Implement and monitor quality procedures, standards, and specifications across all production stages, ensuring alignment with company policies and customer requirements.
  • Inspection and Testing: Conduct and supervise inspections for raw materials, in-process components, final products, and pre-delivery warehouse checks, ensuring compliance with defined acceptance/rejection criteria.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Manage timely testing and documentation, ensuring accurate records of inspection reports, deviations, and rework logs are maintained and analyzed.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Coordinate with production, design, SCM, and other departments to proactively address quality deviations and implement timely corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Supplier Liaison: Liaise with suppliers on material quality issues, participate in supplier audits, and support resolution of non-compliance through feedback and quality improvements.
  • Instrument Calibration: Ensure regular calibration of all QC instruments, maintain updated calibration certificates, and verify measurement accuracy during inspections.
  • Non-Conformance Reporting: Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), analyze root causes of rejections or reworks (internal/external), and track resolution effectiveness.
  • Site Visits and Process Improvement: Conduct periodic site visits to assess product performance and suggest process improvements aligned with customer expectations and international standards.
  • QC Documentation and Compliance: Maintain and update all QC documentation, support internal and external audits, and ensure compliance with regulatory, customer, and organizational requirements.
  • Team Supervision and Development: Supervise and train QC inspectors, allocate daily tasks, support performance evaluations, and contribute to recruitment and capability development of the QA/QC team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial/Mechanical/Wood Technology or related discipline)
  • Certification in Quality Assurance (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma, etc.) will be a strong advantage
  • 4–5 years of relevant experience in quality control/assurance within the furniture or wood manufacturing industry
  • Strong knowledge of quality inspection processes and woodworking materials (MDF, solid wood, veneer, etc.)
  • Familiarity with QA tools (e.g., root cause analysis, Pareto charts, CAPA)
  • Proficiency in handling QC instruments and documentation
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills for supplier coordination
  • Ability to lead and coach quality teams
  • Analytical mindset and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and audit protocols
