Job Overview

The Senior Onboarding Specialist plays a pivotal role in delivering and designing our company-wide onboarding experience. They will lead the day-to-day execution while focusing on continuous improvement and impact on key business metrics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Content Creation & Facilitation
    • Develop and deliver compelling content on company culture, vision, and strategy with passion and executive presence for key sessions of New Hire Orientation.
  • Program Development & Alignment
    • Support the development, curation, and maintenance of all orientation content and materials to ensure they are relevant, engaging, and current.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Partner with cross-functional teams to refine and elevate content delivered by other departments during orientation, ensuring a cohesive and high-impact agenda.
  • Program Strategy & Management
    • Contribute to the evolution of the new hire orientation and onboarding strategy to meet the needs of a growing and dynamic organization.
  • Analytics & Improvement
    • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for the onboarding program, such as 90-day retention rates, new hire satisfaction (NPS), and time-to-productivity.
  • Feedback & Insights
    • Analyze data and feedback from new hire surveys and stakeholder interviews to derive insights, report on trends, and drive programmatic improvements.
  • Technology & LMS Integration
    • Support the selection, implementation, and optimization of onboarding technologies, including modules within our HRIS and Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Team Development & Coaching
    • Provide coaching and mentorship to the Onboarding Specialist(s), fostering a high-performance, collaborative team environment.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Support team goals and objectives and manage workflow to ensure flawless execution of all logistical and administrative tasks.
  • Issue Resolution & Escalation
    • Serve as the point of escalation for complex issues related to new hires, onboarding processes, or compliance.
  • Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
    • Cultivate strong relationships with department heads and hiring managers to ensure alignment and drive accountability for a consistent and effective role-based onboarding experience.
  • Program Advocacy & Enablement
    • Advocate for the importance of a structured onboarding experience across the organization, providing resources and training to managers.
    Requirements
    • 2-4 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, Learning & Development, or Talent Management.
    • Experience with coaching and mentoring, with a passion for developing others.
    • Exceptional presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences and command a room.
    • Strong strategic thinking and program management skills; the ability to translate high-level vision into actionable plans and measurable results.
    • Excellent analytical skills with experience using data to drive decision-making and program enhancements.
    • Understanding of onboarding best practices and/or adult learning principles.
    • High proficiency in Google Workspace.
