Job Title: HVAC and Plumbing Technical Draftsman

 

At Velosi Asset Integrity, we are seeking a skilled HVAC and plumbing technical draftsman to join our team.

 

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, drafting or a related field, with 4+ years of experience as a draftsman in the HVAC or plumbing industry.

 

Key responsibilities include creating detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings for HVAC and plumbing systems using CAD software, working closely with engineers, architects, and construction teams to understand project needs and constraints, and ensuring designs are compliant with local codes, standards, and project requirements.

 

Additional requirements include proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar), knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems, including layouts, schematics, and components, familiarity with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations, and strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.

 

Responsibilities:
  • Creates detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings for HVAC and plumbing systems using CAD software.
  • Develops piping layouts, ducting systems, and schematics based on engineering inputs.
  • Produces equipment dimensional drawings based on engineering inputs.
  • Generates process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) of projects.
  • Creates isometrics drawings of projects.
  • Prepares sectional details of equipment, fittings, devices, etc. as per requirement.
  • Ensures designs are compliant with local codes, standards, and project requirements.
  • Collaborates with engineers, architects, and construction teams to understand project needs and constraints.
  • Conducts regular reviews of designs to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project scope.

 

Requirements:
  • Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience as a draftsman in the HVAC or plumbing industry.
  • Exposure to large-scale residential, commercial, or industrial projects.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar).
  • Knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems, including layouts, schematics, and components.
  • Familiarity with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
