">Job Summary- Transfer accurate and comprehensive patient information during shift handovers, including introductions, patient files, medication charts, investigation reports, and intake/output records, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
- Provide empathetic and individualized care to patients throughout the shift, demonstrating respect for their unique needs and concerns.
- Evaluate patient outcomes against established care goals and make necessary adjustments to ensure high-quality care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to address patient concerns and needs, promoting effective communication and teamwork.
- Administer medications as prescribed, maintaining accurate records and adhering to established protocols.
- Maintain a safe working environment by following established procedures, guidelines, and regulations, minimizing risks and ensuring staff and patient safety.
- Adhere to infection control policies and procedures, protecting patients and staff from infections and promoting a healthy work environment.
- Support doctors during rounds, recording instructions and ensuring timely implementation, facilitating efficient decision-making and care delivery.
- Prepare patients physically and emotionally for procedures, providing necessary equipment and support, and ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Document nursing care accurately according to established standards and protocols, maintaining clear and concise records.
- Implement doctor's orders while raising concerns regarding treatments when necessary, promoting informed decision-making and patient-centered care.
- Ensure timely restocking of medical supplies, proper storage, and availability, maintaining a well-stocked and organized clinical environment.
- Monitor and record blood sugar levels, taking appropriate action to maintain optimal glucose control.
- Conduct blood draws and other laboratory procedures on patients, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
- Record vital signs, especially for pre-operative and post-operative patients, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
- Perform IV cannulation according to clinical guidelines, maintaining patient comfort and safety.
- Report incidents related to patients, staff, visitors, or untoward occurrences promptly, addressing issues promptly and efficiently.
- Supervise and guide Nurse Aids, Student Nurses, and other staff as assigned, promoting professional development and growth.
- Complete delegated tasks and responsibilities as directed by the Ward Incharge or Nursing Coordinator, prioritizing tasks and managing workload effectively.
- Perform additional duties assigned by the Supervisor or Head of Department, contributing to the overall success of the healthcare team.
