
Staff Nurse

Education Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) with 0-2 years of experience or a Diploma in Nursing with 1-4 years of experience.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Handing over and taking charge of patient information, medication charts, investigation reports, and other relevant documents during shift changes.
- Providing direct patient care throughout the shift with empathy, courtesy, and professionalism.
- Maintaining high standards of quality care by adhering to established therapeutic guidelines and measuring health outcomes against set goals and standards.
- Resolving patient concerns and needs through effective collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Preparing and administering medication as per prescription.
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment by adhering to protocols and regulations.
- Protecting patients and staff from infection and ensuring adherence to controlled substance regulations.
- Assisting doctors during rounds and documenting instructions accurately.
- Supporting doctors with procedures, preparing patients, and ensuring availability of necessary equipment.
- Maintaining accurate and complete records of nursing care according to established procedures.
- Following doctor's orders and raising concerns regarding prescribed treatments.
- Ensuring timely restocking and availability of medical supplies in the ward.
- Monitoring and recording vital signs, particularly for pre-operative and post-operative patients.
- Performing blood draws, IV cannulation, and other lab procedures as required.
- Reporting incidents promptly and supervising junior staff members as assigned.
- Performing delegated tasks as directed by the Ward Incharge or Nursing Coordinator.
- Undertaking any other duties assigned by the Supervisor or Head of Department.
