Job Title: Education Counsellor

A leading educational institution is seeking a skilled Education Counsellor to provide expert guidance to students.

  1. Counsel students on abroad education opportunities, including country, course, university, and program selection, as well as career planning.
  2. Advise students on application procedures, visa processes, accommodation arrangements, and prepare students for their studies abroad.
  3. Ensure timely completion of admission, visa, accommodation, and travel arrangements.
  4. Provide accurate information about study abroad programs, courses, colleges, and universities in the UK, USA, Canada, and Australia.
  5. Address queries from parents and students precisely, including assistance with admission forms and other related doubts.
  6. Share detailed information about courses for abroad education, including Diplomas, Bachelor's, and Master's programs across all streams.
  7. Foster positive interactions with parents and students to enhance referrals and reputation.
  8. Maintain strong communication with candidates through official channels such as email, phone, and messaging platforms.
  9. Stay updated on various study abroad programs offered by colleges and universities to effectively assist students.
  10. Guide students through every step from registration at the organization to flying abroad, including counseling, application, admission, meeting conditions, fee payments, visa applications, and pre-departure briefings.
  11. Maintain a proper database of counseled students and applications sent abroad.
  12. Assess client/student details to determine suitability for courses and universities, providing appropriate guidance.
  13. Support activities promoting universities represented by the organization.
  14. Analyze students' mindsets interested in abroad education to motivate and encourage them to enroll in courses.
  15. Provide daily reports on new candidates registered through various channels like cold-calling, email, or walk-ins.
  16. Host candidates at information sessions, training, workshops, and preparatory classes, supporting senior management in event execution.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Graduate degree from any academic discipline, capable of counseling students in their specific fields.
  • Experience in the education industry.
  • Knowledgeable of multiple counseling approaches.
  • Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Familiar with online learning platforms.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working as a counselor with youth.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Empathetic and sensitive to others' needs.
