We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Professional to join our team.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position that requires expertise in tax preparation, planning, and consulting. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations, and providing proactive tax planning advice to individuals, businesses, and organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review individual and business tax returns, including employment tax forms, retirement and investment forms, deduction and credit forms, foreign reporting forms, and estate and gift tax forms.
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, including research and analysis of tax implications of business transactions, investments, and other financial activities.
  • Provide proactive tax planning advice to clients, including developing and implementing tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize financial outcomes.
  • Meet with clients to discuss their tax situation, goals, and concerns, and communicate complex tax concepts in a clear and understandable manner.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • 4-5 years of experience in tax preparation, planning, and consulting.
  • Proficiency in tax software and tools, including Drake, Pro-Connect, Lacerte, Ultra-Tax, ATX, Canopy, Sharepoint, TaxDome, and Monday.com.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build rapport with clients and team members, and commitment to upholding professional standards and ethical guidelines in the practice of tax law and accounting.
